Question about 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix
I just purchased a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE today from a third party, and when I got it home and went to top off the coolant I discovered that the hood release cable isn't attached to the hood release lever inside the car. I have a plastic-covered wire with some loose wires exposed near the release lever that I believe is the hood release cable, but pulling on it hasn't popped the hood. Is there anything I can do, other than take it to a mechanic? (I haven't tried using pliers to pull on it yet, only my bare hand; it has gotten too dark outside to do anything.)
Your going to have to use vice grips or pliers. Just pull hard till you hear the hood pop open or have a friend push down on the hood so you can pull in the hood cable easier to unlock the hood latch. Good luck and keep me posted.
