Question about 1998 Nissan Altima
I own a 1998 Nissan Altima GXE. When I travel at speeds over 25 mph my car makes a squealing noise that is very loud. It seems to be coming from the driver's side. My mechanic said that it is not the wheel bearings so I have no clue.
Could be the bearings in your alternator have gone dry and your alternator is about to quit out on you. I had a friend with an 01 altima and we could always hear him coming before we saw him because of this very problem. Changed the alternator out and noise went away. Thanks for using FixYa!
