I have a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu my engine car shut off while I still driving on high way, and I pull off and I restart ignition key again then it start run again.
Check to see if ignition switch is loose. 1999 Malibu's are famous for weak ignition switches.
This is a common issue with this car, it's most likely a faulty ignition switch. It could be another electrical issue but I doubt it. Have it's codes checked and look for a security fault. The ignition in this model of car is horrible, just Google around and you'll see. It can be replaced at home but you will have to re-learn the ignition cylinder security, takes about 10-15 minutes for the procedure. The instructions on how to replace and re-learn are on the net, if you take it to a mechanic I wouldn't see them charging longer than a hour to fix it, it could probably be done in less than 30 minutes. I don't recommend using a used ignition switch from a junkyard, it is hit or miss on a good working one. If the security light isn't on or no codes were set I would do more diagnostics before making a purchase.

yes it is safe -your brakes will work normally only difference u will see is if u hit[stomp] on the brake hard will cause wheels to lock up[skid] check the sensors wiring ,connections and connection to clips the sensor is incorporated into the wheel hub but the wiring and clips connections are exposed which can get damaged or hit by road debris -if u remove the wheel will see wire running into back of rotor --to replace will have to replace the whole hub[wheel bearing] average price about $80 for part if diy
The generic method of bleeding air from the cooling system of any car or truck is to use a floor jack and raise the front of the car as high as poss, then fill the coolant recovery tank full and run the engine until it just starts to overheat, high end of normal zone on gauge, then shut the engine down and run cold water over the radiator core, this will self bleed the system and the coolant will be pulled from the recovery tank, repeat as necessary, never let the recovery tank run dry or more air will be pulled into the cooling systeml , if it still overheats then you need to have the head gaskets checked with a gas analyzer for hydrocarbons present in the radiator or recovery tank
