Question about 2000 Alfa Romeo 145
My alfa gtv ts 97mod has developed a squeek in the engine bay on the left hand side of the engine near the power steering pump and alternator it sounds like a slipping timing belt but it is not can you help? could it be the veriator?
The timing belt is synchronous and will not slip. if it did your car wouldn't run. it is most most likely a drive belt. replace the drive belts. if that doesn't fix it then one of the pulleys is going bad. its hard telling which one.
