A couple of things to add to tinyp's solution. For Buicks, the regulator is bolted in, not riveted, which makes removal easier. Also, you'd better get used to this, as I have replaced 3 out of 4 window regulators on my 2002 LeSabre.

When my lesabre did that I found that it was a bound up regulator wire the first time and a broken wire the second time. Probably will have to take door panel off and replace the regulator. Not a difficult job but due to poor regulator design it happens frequently. Good Luck! I have installed a total of 4 in the last 4 years on my lesabre (2002 model). Surprisingly, it was due to bad motor only once. - gary

2002 buick park avenue power drivers seat won't go up or down

The most common problem is the gear breaking under the seat. There is one motor to make the front go up and down and one motor to make the back go up and down. The front up/down motor is the easier one to replace. I have a video of one way to fix the up/down motors. I demo the back motor. Take off the door panel and disconnect the two wire plug one is brown the other is orange. Take two jumper wires and run them to a battery. If it goes down then switch the wires on the battery and it will go up. If it does not move then the window motor is shot and will need to be replaced.

Try "helping" the window the window to go down by pressing your hand agaist it and pushing it down . If it moves then the motor is not gone. My 02 Century driver window gets slow when it's cold or dirty. Try spraying some ArmorAll into the tracks on the door. This will not only help flush out dirt but lubricate as well

My drivers side window is down and it won't roll back up

Assuming power windows
Do you hear the motor running? - If not bad fuse, motor, electrical connection
If you hear the motor - Can you move the window my hand? Could be a bad window regulator (a cable and pulley that raises/lower the window - when driven by the motor).

Electric window does not return from the down position, what causes this.

could be a few things. Could be the relay could be the motor ore could be the tracks
it it all the windows on 2 ore 4 sides.
If all the windows on all sides that sounds fishy and would be the relay on drivers side.

Could be a bad switch, bad window motor, or clutch in window motor, ccould also be that the window itself jumped track.

2 windows on my 2000 Buick Lesabre will not go up. I can hear the motor going up and down. Any suggestions--Was there a recall?

if you can hear the window motor moving up and down, but the windows do not move, this is a sign that the clips on the window that hold it to the regulator are more than likely broken, take the door pannel off and simply look and see if there is anything broken, if the window is in tact, replace the regulators, (about $100 each)
