Damage to crank trigger for the ignition, must have occurred due to close proximity to lower control arm. Look for pinched or disconnected wiring harnesses or connectors, as well as physical damage to crank sensor

Want to know the relationship between the rear trailing arm and the control arm. If you had the rear trailing arm fixed because of recall then 2 months later they say the control arm came loose and broke...

The recall for your vehicle may or may not have included replacement of the trailing arm. The recall says that the trailing arm is to be "inspected" then it will be replaced, or modified at the discresion of the person performing the inspection. If it was "replaced", it would require the control arms to be disconnected and reconnected. If it was only "modified" there would have been no disassembly of the control arms required. See the picture below. The picture shows the rear suspension parts. Notice that the upper control arm and the lower control arm bolt to the trailing arm. (which is what also houses the hub and bearing with the wheel speed sensor.) I hope this helps you to resolve your issue.

How to replace the passenger control arm on the 2006 suzuki grand vitara

Most front ends are set up basically the same way.First raise and support your front end and remove the tire. Both the upper and lower should look about the same.If you look at the control arm you will have an upper and lower ball joint and a tie rod end bolted to the steering knuckle.Remove the bolt on the tie rod end and use a ball joint separate to remove the tie rod end. Then remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle with your separator.Depending on which control arm it is if its the upper you will also have to remove the brake hose out of the way to remove the upper control arm.Once that's done you will see 2 bolts that hold the control arms to the frame remove these bolts and your control arm will come off,You might have to pry them a little bit to get them out.You also want to have something handy to block up your steering knuckle until your ready to put it back together. It wouldn't hurt to have a piece of wire just in case you need to tie something in place. And be sure you grease everything with a high pressure grease.

How to replace s500 control arms How much do they cost, and it there an additional ball joint. My mechanic tacked this on. I thing the control arm and ball joing is one unit.

To replace the lower control are you need to unbolt it from the subframe, airmatic strut, sway bar link and from the lower ball joint. The lower ball joint is separate from the lower control arm. The ball joint actually gets pressed into the steering knuckle. Then the lower control arm sits on top of the ball joint and gets bolted down. The lower control arms list price are about $330 each and the ball joints are around $78 each for oem mercedes parts. The total labor for both to be replaced is somewhere between 6-8 flag hours. The thrust arms are also part of the front suspension and those arms are one piece that have a ball joint as part of the arm. The lower control arm usually doesn't need to be replaced unless its damaged since the control arm bushings are available separately and are around $73 each side for the kit.
