Locate power window relay 2002 ford taurus

it was always the masterswitch when i worked on em. if there are 3 working, and they get their unlock from the masterswitch, they get power there. so no need to seek the relay, if you disassemble the masterswitch on one of these you can check power and ground. its easier to look at the light on the cars ceiling while you operate it. when you see the light dimming during the operation of a working window, compare it to the operation of the one in question. if you see it trying to work, you just verified power useage and therefore ground each way. if its trying to work, smack the door panel with the heel of your hand. if the window goes up, order a window motor. if you couldnt verify it was trying to work, run tests at the masterswitch.

Windows have stopped working

First check the fuses if you have not done so. You will need to remove the door panel to get to the driver side window switch, the power for all of the windows enters through the driver side switch. Use a multi meter to determine if power is reaching the switch, if it is not, run a temporary wire from the fuse panel to the switch and see if that will work the windows. If it now works you know the problem is a bad wire. If you are getting power to the switch but not power out the other side you know the switch is bad and must be replaced.
