Dome light won't turn off

repaired the drivers side view mirror, now the dome light won't go off. I obviously messed up the sensor but don't have a clue how to proceed.

- I checked the headlight switch ( I was hoping). I'm pretty sure it is the door switch. I just don't know how to find it.

Check to make sure headlight switch is not turned to keep dome light on. If not depending on what you did to repair mirror the switch in the drivers door may be the culprit.

- Look in your door jams the sensor is really nothing more than a switch. It may have a rubber boot on it the switch is like a push button. The button is out when door is open and when the door is closed it goes in and turns light off,
