Saturns use a bullet style sensor for many of their systems. They are cheap and fail often. Buy one from a dealer, and ask them to show you a parts picture of it's location. They are a very easy fix and should cost under $20.

MY 85 STANZA FAN WONT KICK ON AND I REPLACED THE THERM AND THE RADIATOR FAN SWITCH. STILL OVERHEATING AND NOW THE A/C WONT BLOW OUT VENTD

Possibilities include blown fuse due to too much fan current draw, faulty wiring, faulty cooling fan relay, check the cooling fan relay in underhood fuse box. the contacts may be burnt and sticking.

Electric fan wont kick in jeep over heats replaced thermostat and two sender units

Sounds like your cooling fan relay is bad the jeep grand cherokees are known for this, first thing i would do is unplug the radiator cooling fan and run 2 jumper wires direct from the battery to the fan connector if the fan kicks on your fan motor is good and the relay is bad, if the fan doesnt kick on replace the fan motor with a new unit, the cooling fan relay on your particular model jeep is located under the passenger headlight and requires you remove the front bumper to replace it, however some people cut a small hole under the headlight to access the relay the faster way but if your not to keen on cutting holes in your car remove the bumper and replace the relay if the fan checks out and you wont be overheating anymore...

1997 a4 se overheating.i have changed the thermostat and car is still overheating.cold air is coming from the blower.car drives perfectly otherwise.fan is not coming on.how would i diagnose the problem

Alot of time you have to bleed the cooling system after changing a thermostat it gets an air pocket in it look for a bleeder valve near or on the thermastat housing if so bleed it to get the air out.check the radiator and make sure its full because if you filled it up after changing the thermastat once the thermastat opened after the engine ran awhile well the cooling system needs refilled.

Replaced Thermastat and Radiator, but car is still over heating

YOUR WATER PUMP COULD BE BAD.CHECK TO SEE IF WEEP HOLE LEAKING IS SO REPLACE IT IF NOT.MAKE SURE COOLANT FAN IS WORKING.HAVE RADIATOR SHOP PRESSURIZE COOLANT SYSTEM.TO CHECK FOR LEAKING HEAD GASKET.ALSO HAVE RADIATOR SHOP FLUSH RADIATOR.IF ITS CLOGGED UP.IT WILL CAUSE OVERHEATING PROBLEMS.ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE COOLANT MIXTURE 50% WATER 50% ANTIFREEZE.TOO MUCH WATER IN RADIATOR WILL CAUSE OVERHEATING.

Mini cooper s 2002 overheating

Make sure your fan is functional. If the fan is not working this can be a problem as it will not cool the engine.
