If it's behind the fender, you will need to remove the wheel and the fender liner if it has one. Usually, fendor liners are only held in place by plastic push rivets that are easily removed.

When it rains my 2005 chevy aveo floor fills up with water. I have cleaned out all vents and checked for leaks - but can find nothing. Please help me.

The waterchannels down from the roof to each side of the vehicle through the inside of the fenders, even though the vents are clear the channels to divert the water may be plugged. Look behind the fender (sounds impossible, but open the doors and look where the hinges are, you should be able to see somewhat behind the fenders, check for debris lodged within the cavity behind the fender, water can fill up and run back into the interior of the vehicle. A leaking door seal will also allow water to seep into the interior.

Rodents ate my winshield washer hoses; how do I get to the reservoir?

The reservoir is typically within the inner fender/wing area. If you lay on your back, under the right wing of the car (in a left hand drive car) and look up, then you should see it. You may have to remove any wheel arch liner to get to it.

Windshield washer hose is leaking under the fender. Do I have to romove the fender to replace the hose?

Hi,
Don't spend your time removing something that is not relevant to the problem.
The hose can be pulled easily from underneath of that washer reservoir.
First thing is to find out why the washer fluid leaks, look for the cause of the leak.
If the leak is in the reservoir, just remove the reservoir and check it.
If the problem is in the hose line, remove the hose from the "Y" connection between the two washer nozzle and pull the hose from the main outlet of the tank washer.

Hope that clears up everything!
Thanks for using Fixya!

Winshield Washer Fluid extremely low pressure

The washer pump is located in the right front fender, mounted infront of the wheel. Remove the front portion of the wheel well splash cover to gain excess. This pump does the work for the front and rear washers. Verify that the pump is working and then check for a pinched hose.
However, if you hear the pump working,as you say, open the hood and take the hoses off the squirter nozzles to see if there is good flow of fluid. If there is, then your nozzles are plugged. You may be able to clean them out with some air pressure. Careful working with the nozzles, as they are plastic and break easy.

Water is leaking into the passengers side of the 98 neon i looked for the hose underneath for the a/c evap line it is no where to be found. What can i do?

When does it leak? when you run the ac or when it rains? Their is no line that leaks from the ac, just the oval canistor that drips condensation and should be nowhere near your firewall to leak in the car. Its either a weather seal/winshield or your heater core is leaking which is located behind the glovebox

Leeks water only in the driver and the back passager behind the front passager?

sometimes water gets in under the dash from a leak around the winshield and the lower drain trough.remove the wiper arms, and the cover at the bottom of the windhield. rust, bad grommets or plugged drains can cause an overflow.

How to remove the windshield washer reservoir?

I'm guessing you may have figured this out by now but I had to do it recently.

First drain the fluid from the reservoir. Then remove the car battery. Then the battery tray. I believe it was held on with about 4-5 bolts...one of which threads into a retainer clip on the reservoir itself. Now you have cleared the way to remove the reservoir. It is held in by a few bolts that are accessible from the top side and bottom both. You will have to get on your back and get to those with a ratchet. It will be obvious where these are upon inspection. And finally there is a plastic retainer that goes through the plastic inner fender into a retaining hole in the reservoir. Firmly but carefully separate it from this plastic retainer...you'll probably have to reuse it. After you do that the reservoir is free to move. Unhook the wire harnesses to the fluid pumps. Unhook the lines to the to pumps. Now just pull the reservoir out through the bottom of the car.

Done.

Windshield washer fluid hose is leaking behind front right wheel

I had the same problem. Reservoir would drain for no reason and I later found that the water was soaking the passenger side carpet and filling the wire channel under the doors. Tracked the problem to a barbed fitting behind the passenger side kick panel, just below the dash. The fitting connects the tubing coming through the firewall from the reservoir to the rear wiper/washer. The hose had come loose from the fitting (possibly due to freezing). I re-installed the tubing onto the the fitting and it has been fine ever since.

Winshield washer fluid

Sometimes they have a port in the back along the inside behind an access panel. Others have a seperate washer fluid tank in the motor compartment. See if there is an access panel behind the rear seat on either side.

Winshield washer motor does not run

These days, most windshield washer pumps are mounted to the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. Where’s that, you ask? Well, inner+fender+w+text.jpgyou know that spout you pour the fluid into—the one that disappears into nowhere? Well, the reservoir is actually 2384f71.jpglocated inside the front fender between the bumper and the front wheel. To replace the pump, you will have to jack up the vehicle, remove the front wheel and then remove the inner fender liner.
