Question about Chevrolet 1500

1 Answer

When i turn on my A/C or heater nothing happens. The blower does not work. Checked fuses all are fine. Any way to find out the problem before i buy a blower. This is a 2006 1500 Silverad. Is it a hard process to change blower?

Pull the wires from the blower. Throw 12 volts and a ground to it(red is B+). If it comes on, it is good. Replace the controller. If it was the relay, some sort of blower speed would have happened. There are other wires to check, but you would have to loose other things to go this direction. Like accessory and ignition.

I have a 1999 mitsubishi diamante and I turn on

Check the Resistor unit.
This stops the blowers working ,
sometime number 1 on the heater switch will but nothing else .
No 2/3/4 working on heater switch.

Air conditioner/heater/vent will not blow air or turn on

Check for full battery voltage at the resistor block, it should have it any time the engine is on, If you don't have voltage to any of the connectors, there is usually a blower motor relay that needs to be checked if all fuses checked out as good.
If it DOES have voltage to the resistor, put the blower speed to full high and check for voltage to the blower motor, if none, then there is a circuit failure, if there is voltage, check the ground side of the blower with an ohm meter, it should read near zero ohms resistance.

A/c blower does not work after replacing battery 1999 park avenue

Hi,
Call the dealer and ask about a 'blower resistor' in the Parts department - ask them if it's a commonly replaced part. i Seems to be a common problem. If they say Yes, either buy one @ the dealer or @ an auto parts store.

No AC, heat, or vent

it sounds to me that you might have a small short, and (or) in line fuse,(you can't see), might have blown, go to your nearest advance, kelly,or auto zone (it's Free), and have them run a Code test on it, and let me know what code errors it throws, god bless

Heater control only works on high

You need a blower motor resistor, and the heater blower motor should be checked for high amp draw. check Napa for the part or go to Dodge..prpbably about 60.00 dollars.

boy, that sound like a major circuit to cause all that. either a main fuse under the hood or a main circuit wiring harness connector. there are no unfused circuits that could indicate a short unless there has been past fuse blowing problems
