Our Ford Lynx has a temperature problem. It always overheat. What could be the Problem?

could be the sensor , this pc is not expencive you try to buy it changed and so you will eliminate one possible couse. have some one scans your car for trouble codes thats your shortcut to find the problem.

My fan runs as soon as you turn ignition to run

Could be a faulty relay or a problem with the temp sensor.
If the temp sensor fails the computer will turn on the fan to make sure the engine does not overheat.

You will need to see if the fan operates when overheating, there are diffrent sensors for the cooling and ac cooling, the good thing is that the fan works, this would tell me it may be a bad coolant temp sensor or thermostat, you will need to let it run and as the gauge passes the middle point feel to see if both upper and lower rad hoses are hot, if only one is hot then you may have a bad thermostat, is they are both hot and fan doesnt turn on and car overheats then you should replace the coolant temp sensor, stat with these tests and see the result, hope this helps.

Car overheats. i unplugged temp sensor and fans suddenly came on and coolant started to flow. hoses werent backed up any longer. so i replaced fan relays and car is still running hot

If you unplug the coolant temp sensor the computer will turn on the fans because it doesn't know how warm the engine is. The computer is working like it is suppose to. I think you might have a bad coolant temp sender. If it was a problem with the fans or the relays, they wouldn't come on when you unplug the sensor, because the problem would still be there.

Have replaced about all relays and sensors plugs and wires fuel pumps egr valve and solenoid eec relay tps sensor air charge sensor o2 sensor coolant sensor have in my hand knock sensor havent put in yet...

i think i would check the fuel presure regulator and the fuel presure if fuel presure low look at fuel filter if rail not holding presure then look at fuel presure reg and vac conection on it

1994 Toyota 4Runner Overheating

I had the same problem - my 95 4Runner would overheat in 4WD only, and coolant would bubble out and spill over.

The problem turned out to be with the rear heater tubes and the fan clutch - my mechanic bypassed the rear heater tubes and I have no more problems. Not exactly sure why this helped. To replace the rear heater tubes, it would've cost $325, but to bypass cost $75. Most people don't even really use the heat in the back seat.

The second part of the problem, and most important, was the fan clutch needed to be replaced. At low speeds, it wasn't kicking in when it should have been, only working at higher speeds. Once I replaced the fan clutch and the bypassed the rear heater tubes, all has been well.

95 grand am radiator fan only runs with AC on

Cooling Fan Temp Sensor is the First thing You Check (with what you have described) Cooling Fan Should ALways come On When The A/C is turned On as A/C Adds A Load to Engine, If Temp Sensor is Faulty it Will Not Give GROUND Signal to ECM >For COOLING FAN >RELAY to Give ground and turn ON The Fan.
There ARE 2 temp Sensors that Serve Different Purposes 1 is for Dash READING GAGE & Or TEMP LIGHT the Other is For ECM or Fan Relay (SAME Thing) you Said>""can disconnect the sensor and fan continues to run" < This Leads me to think you Changed the Wrong One. Not Questioning your Skills Just Here to Help.
TEMP SENSOR FOR 3.1L V6 is Located upper RH rear of engine compartment, near exhaust system. Temp SENSOR for 2.3L Engine is Located in LH rear of engine compartment.
I Hope this Helps Lead you to a NON-OVERHEATING Pontiac.
