Question about 2000 Ford Mustang
The convertible top on our 2000 Ford Mustang goes down but will not come back up by itself. You can hear the motor running, just not coming up with us pulling on it.
You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is the motor/pump/reservoir.
With the top down, fill the reservoir till it overflows with ATF. Cycle the system a few times. Repeat till the reservoir will accept no more fluid.
Look for leaking lines or cylinders. The fluid must have gone someplace.
Always replace lines and or cylinders in pairs.
