2007 Yaris daytime running lights not working

assuming your head lights are working otherwise. I would check your DRL relay circuit. check your fuses (ecu-b & ecu-ig) are for daytime running lights. then you'll have to do a bunch of voltages checks to make sure its not the harness or a connector which I can get for you. and if everything checks out only thing left is the relay assembly..

1996 chevy suburban high beams work, low beams and daytime running lights don't. checked all fuses none blown, dont know how to check relays except to replace each one, one at at a time.

with a test light back probe the green wire behind the low beam then if test light on = bulb defect
the blue one is for daytime running lights example : if 1 bulb is burn or open no daytime running lights
p.s. you need to have 2 bulbs the same or it won't work

How to replace daytime running lights

You have to loosen the six grill screw nuts thingies, and also the 2 headlamp assembly units screws that hold the lights in place. Once everything is loose you should be able to pull out the light assembly units and stick your hand far enough down to pull out the daytime running lamp. I am a girl obviously and I have done this myself. If you would like I will post a video of this and show you how to do it. Write to me at miss TLC at

Need to change one of the daytime running light bulbs. Cant see how to get to it.

You will need to take the tire off of the side that the light is burned out on. Then remove plastic fender well insert. This will give you the enough room to change out any burned out light in the headlamp assembly.

Replace front round shaped daytime driving light on the right front of my 2006 denali GMC XT Youkon

There are two pins on the righ and left side of each Headlight. Turn the pins forward then pull all the way up and out. The Headlight should easily come out. You now will have complete access to your daytime running light bulb socket. Twist out and replace bulb. To replace assembly simply go in reverse order keeping in mind that the holes need to be lined up when inserting pins.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.

How do I replace my 2007 tahoe daytime running lights?

Open the hood. Right on top of the headlamp assembly you will see a round metal lever (1/4" in diameter) fitting into securing clip. Pull it out by turning it clockwise 1/2 turn then pull it straight up to release the locking mechanism of the headlamp assembly. Lift out the assembly and remove it out of the way then look straight down where it sits and you can see the backside of the daytime running lights where the bulbs are. This procedure after knowing this secret takes a couple of minutes to replace the bulbs.

Daytime running lights and blinkers do not work

the lights are controlled by a module, it is the DRL module, replace it. also try this
On the inside of the car next to the light switch there is your dome light button. GM made it to where you could turn off the daytime running lights by pushing it three times in and out. Turn the vehicle on then do this. Your daytime running lights should work after this.

Replace 2005 GMC Sierra Daytime Running Lights...

Open the hood, and in the top right and left corners of the primary headlamps you'll see two pins (L shaped) swing them out (towards the front of the truck) and lift out. This allows you to remove the upper headlamp assembly. You can then remove the lower assembly by pushing outwards on the plastic clip that is hooked into a metal clip. Once it's out you just turn the bulb to remove it.

It's much easier if you unhook the leads to the upper assembly's bulbes so you can set the whole thing aside.
