2003 avalanche stalling at stop and turns help me find the problem thank you

BigD. Running on all eight(or six)? If so, remove the air inlet hose and open the throttle body butterfly. Clean the blade ant the inlet around it with carb cleaner and a shop rag(seems nobody does this at service). Make sure IAC motor is plugged in(should be since you did not mention a check engine light). It is the wart looking item in the throttle body. You may be able to clean it and verify it moves by pushing in and pulling out...hard. If it moves smoothly, push it all the way in and reinstall. When you start the truck, the idle will be very fast but should come down to normal fairly quickly. If this happens as it should, you have possibly fixed it. Drive and verify. If an automatic, a sticky TCC solonoid in the trans can cause this kind of thing but it usually is pretty violent and stalls the motor. Hope this helps.TJ

Stalls out at stops or turning a corner. rough

See if this looks like your engine, I'd concentrate on pulling IAC valve off & cleaning it good with throttle body spray cleaner, as well as port it came out of, then re-install it and see if it's better. If it cures it or make it better, but then starts to do same again, replace it.b753d98.gif

2004 Envoy xl stalls when making turns

this is caused by slow engine idle speed, do the procedure below.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

There is no such thing as a small fuel leak. Even if the car was running great, it is extremely dangerous. You can "section" the line using a small pipe cutter and brass compression fittings if you don't want to change the entire length (providing it's not really rusted. Most of, if not all your problems can definitely attributed to that leak.

does the rpm motor kick down? you may need to check your vacuum hoses, and also you may want to check your exaust, sounds wierd but that can cause the car to stall at times.as for the traction light, your hitting the brakes to hard. try slowing down a little slower while stopping, and keep distance for saftey.. if you can take it a little slower at lights and turns, without braking hard and it stops stalling.

Sounds like a transmission problem. My car was doing that and it turns out it had a transmission fluid leak that had led to major transmission damage. The bad news: the entire transmission had to be rebuilt.

Running on lpg then stop turn engine off then start engine and drive 20 metres and engine stalls! switch over to petrol and runs ok switch back to lpg and stalls

check that your cooling system if full of coolant. the coolant that keeps the engine cool actually keeps the gas converter from freezing. alternatively is it hard to start of a morning when cold, if so could be butane wax build up from the gas, in the convertor.
