Hi i switched a 3.8 out of a 2001 firebird to a 5.7 out of a 1997 trans am ws6 but know my key is not responing when i turn key? is it any way to reprogram my car computer or the key so it will work?

If the security light isn't flashing that's not the problem. Some of these newer systems are really finicky, try doing a reset by pulling the negative cable from the battery.

I have a 2001 trans am WS6 with 25,000 origiinal miles. I have a light whyning noise when car is warm. Changed transmission oil and gear oil. Noise still an issue. Could it be a power steering pump bearing...

If you believe that one of the "tins"(alternator, power steering, water pump etc) is defective use a stethoscope and place it on each item as the vehicle is ideling . The item that produces the noise is the culprit.

The other item that could make this noise is the oil pump inside of the torque converter. To test this place vehicle in all gears including park and neutral . If the noise is present in all gears regardless of speed its the pump.

2001 trans am trouble code says fuel trim bank 2

Means the the cylinder head that has the #2 spark plug side is running lean (passenger side). To much air and not enough fuel. This can be fix by cleaning the MAF sensor and adding fuel injector cleaner in to your gas tank. You can buy a MAF cleaner at most auto parts store, just follow the instructions on the can. Once everything is put back together, go for a test drive and the check engine light should go off after the third start cycle and erased from the DTC history after 100 start cycles. The other problem would be the fuel injection system but let's keep it simple and start with the cleaning first. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car runnin 100% again soon.

My remote in my keys no longer work to unlock my doors or trunk. I have changed the batteries in the keys, the light blinks when I push it. What could be wrong? I have a 2001 GS300

Most likely: You have to now "reprogram"your key fob and car to recognize each other. Look in your User's Manual for the car or, if it's an aftermarket fob/lock system, look in the user's manual for that. If there's nothing about battery replacement/reprogramming procedures, and it's a factory system, head into a dealer to reprogram it. It could run you up to $120, but that's cheaper than buying a new fob or system. If it's and aftermarket system and the manual says nothing, go to the place you had it installed (repair facility, Future Shop, etc) and have them reprogram it. If they installed it, they should know how to reprogram it.

Keep in mind, that's only the most likely option. Another possibility is that the receiver in the car, transmitter in the remote, or lock actuators/relays, etc in the car are the issue. It may not have been batteries in the first place at all. That said, it was most likely the batteries, and your best bet is trying to figure out how to reprogram the fob and car to recognize each other.

2001 TA WS6 - Horn and key fob not working

Horn problem is either bad horns or failed clockspring behind steering wheel which is the connection for the airbag and horn buttons.
