Question about Dodge Ram 1500
This is likely a short in the power distribution block located on your stearing column. There was a recall for this problem. Contact the dealer for information.

You have a serious problem, best diagnosed by a pro. I am one but it would take me hours & days to explain every test you need to do. I will give you some basics though. First load test the battery & check the alternator, make sure it's 12 volts off & 14.5 running. Second check all the fuses under the hood & in the cab. Third see if dodge was still being stupid & installing the battery over a main electrical harness. The acid from the battery will eat the wires & cause all this. If all that is ok,check the battery cables for internal corrosion by pulling back the insulation, looking for alot of green. If so replace them & try again. Last thing you can do on your own is check that the bulk head for the wiring harness under the hood is still tightly bolted to the recieving end, this is usually driver's side under the brake booster. Then, you need a scan tool to check the body computer out for codes. After this, dealer or good shop time.

My 2002 durango 5.9 r/t, wiper delay, volume control and tuning on steering column does not work. when raining and just came from car wash the wiper just keep going, twice bring to car wash and won't start but after letting it dry up a bit it start again, my suspicion is it has shorting somewhere when its wet. thank you.
