Question about 1984 Chevrolet S-10

Are you putting in a new timming chain? If so it should have came with a new crank gear witch has the mark on it, it will be on one of the the teeth. If not look on the old crank gear for the mark and count the teeth from the key way. The only other thing is maybe go on line to www.alldatadiy.com and maybe get an exploded view of the timming gear set up.
