you have to drain cooling system and disconnect cooling fan electrical connector and remove the cooling fan shroud assembly with radiator.you need quick disconnect coupling tool to detach the transmission cooler lines from the radiator.you can buy quick disconnect tool at any auto parts stores.
If necessary on 1992 and 1993 Typhoons, remove the charge air cooler. For details, please refer to Section 3 of this manual.

Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube.
Disengage the electrical connector(s) from the blower motor, as necessary.
NOTE: On some earlier models equipped with A/C, it may be necessary to disconnect the A/C vacuum tank and move it aside.
Remove the blower motor-to-case screws, then carefully withdraw the blower motor from the case.
Install the blower motor to the case and secure using the retaining screws.
Engage the electrical connector(s) to the motor, as necessary.
If moved on early model vehicles, reposition and secure the A/C vacuum tank.
Connect the blower motor cooling tube.
If removed on 1992 and 1993 Typhoons, install the charge air cooler.
Connect the negative battery cable.

Remove the power steering reservoir and set aside.
Disconnect the cooling fan connector.
Remove the cooling fan mounting screws and the cooling fan.
Install the cooling fan and the mounting screws. Tighten to 50 in-lb (5.5 Nm).
Connect the cooling fan connector.
Install the power steering reservoir.
Install the coolant bottle.
3.7L EngineTo Remove: NOTE: If the fan blade is bent, warped, cracked or damaged in any way, it must be replaced ONLY with a replacement fan blade. DO NOT attempt to repair a damaged fan blade. NOTE: For 3.7L Heavy Duty/Max Cool/Trailer Tow cooling package, the viscous fan cannot be removed separate from the shroud. Both fan and shroud must be removed together.
Disconnect battery negative cable.
Using special tool #6958 spanner wrench and #8346 adapters, remove the viscous fan from the water pump.
Gently lay fan into shroud.
Disconnect the electrical connector for the electric fan, then disconnect connector from shroud.
Remove the two fan shroud mounting bolts connecting the fan shroud to the radiator.
Remove the shroud and fan from the vehicle.
Install fan shroud assembly into the vehicle. Tighten fan shroud to radiator bolts to 50 in-lb (5.5 Nm).
For 2000 Lincoln LS 3.9L SFI DOHC

Drain the engine cooling system.
Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
Remove the six bolts and the two radiator upper support brackets.
Remove the upper radiator hose.
Remove the bolt and position the receiver drier aside.
Disconnect the dual flow coolant valve electrical connector and
the A/C line from the fan shroud.
3.0L engines only:
Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor and the Idle Air
Control (IAC) valve electrical connectors.
Remove the bolts.
Remove the bracket.
3.9L engines only:
Remove the bolt and position the electric water pump aside.
Disconnect the high pressure cooling fan bracket and line.
Inspect the seal and install a new seal if necessary.
Disconnect the return hose from the cooling fan and shroud.
Separate the return hose from the fan shroud and position aside.
Remove the two bolts and the fan shroud assembly.
Remove the A/C condenser.
Remove the two bolts and position the multi-cooler assembly aside.
Remove the bolts and the condenser support brackets.
Remove the radiator.
Install the following:
Condenser support brackets
Fan shroud assembly
Connect the return hose to the fan shroud
Connect the high pressure cooling fan bracket and line.
3.9L engines only:
Replace the bolt and position the electric water pump aside.
3.0L engines only: Connect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor and the Idle Air Control
(IAC) valve electrical connectors.
Replace the following
The upper radiator sight shield.
The air cleaner outlet tube.
The six bolts and the two radiator upper support brackets.
The upper radiator hose.
The bolt and position the receiver drier aside.
