  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Relieve the fuel pressure
  3. Remove the fuel composition sensor FCS attachment nut.
  4. Remove the 2 FCS attachment bolts.
  5. Remove the FCS from the frame rail.
  6. Disconnect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes from the FCS.
  7. Disconnect the FCS electrical connector.
Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the FCS inlet and outlet pipes to the FCS.
  2. Connect the FCS electrical connector.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  4. Install the attaching nut.
  5. Tighten
Tighten the nut to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft)
  6. Install the 2 FCS attachment bolts.
  7. Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 17 N·m (12.5 lb ft)
