There is something wrong with your parking (running lights) check all wiring of these and make sure it has not been grounded to the body by accident

There are videos on youtube for test for short circuits . You coud disconnect ECU connectors to see if it still blows the fuse ,if it does ECU shorted inside . If it does you have a wiring problem .

I repalce timeing belt i did evertings put it back it whold not start 2000 honda civic got over heat i change head gaskit and timeing belt.


everything hooked up wires ,ect. check timing and no.1 up compression strke & rotor on distuber is on no.1 wire

The electrically operated windows do not work. The fuze is blown and I cannot replace them because as soon as I try to the fuze blows. Car is off at the times I tried. Also windows worked fine throughout...


If it blows instantly you have a dead short, And the only honest opinion anyone of us can give is trace it, From the switch to the box, and to the motors, Sorry and good luck

please give me the year of the f-150 and any added option you have so i can check the schematic's to see if i can pin point something that could cause this issue.

very strange one though. but must have something to do with it going 60... you said you isolated a few thing does that mean you have tested them and ruled them out?

Sounds like you have a shorted switch that needs to be replaced.

Would assume the short is either in the swirch, or the wiring harness that you are disconnecting. If it is in the harness, you could probably find a bare spot on the wire harness. This may be repairable with electrical tape, if the wire is not seeing a lot of rubbing.

Before going crazy with this, check all engine and body grounds to make sure everything is connected. it's possible something was left a bit loose when doing cylinder heads. Wont hurt to go over the positive battery and alternator connections as well!

OVER HEATING


In the fan circuit...You have a temp switch screwed on the radiator, a fuze and a relay in the fuze box plus a fan.  Swap the relay with another relay, replace the fuze.  The other fan should come on when the a/c is turned on.  If you fix the fans and it still overheats, you may have a BLOWN HEAD GASKET.  ALSO ARE YOU BLEEDING THE AIR FROM THE SYSTEM?  DO YOU SMELL EXHAUST IN THE COOLANT?
