Hood will not open

When I pull the latch release it makes a noise like it is releasing but it doese not pop up to the safty catch. The cable doses not appear to be broken.

- if I can't get it open I can't grease it.

You should grease the latch with lythium grease after you get it open. If that doesnt work then replace latch. As long as it hasnt been wrecked or anything.

- You need to get someone to hit the hood with their fist while you work the hood release latch from the inside of the vehicle.
