Start with changing fuel filter, then if that doesn't work, your fuel pump may be going bad.

1992 buick century(26,500 original miles)engine shuts down but starts up, no problem Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

As this vehicle is obviously driven around 1,500 miles per year, you may have moisture in the tank from it sitting for long periods of time with a half empty tank of fuel. Start by changing the fuel filter. Purchase a can of Seafoam Motor Tune and pour 1 can in a full tank of fuel. This is an excellent fuel stabilizer, moisture remover, and fuel system cleaner. After one tank of fuel if you see no improvement then look for another problem.

1995 k2500 Chevy truck engine runs rough some of the time?

I had a similar problem @105k. I had changed the fuel filter but it was still sending all kinds of codes that were related to 2 problems. Long story short, the main problem was a bad trigger assembly in the distributor (rough running) and the other was a loose engine to body ground (engine code issue). Good luck, this worked for me, now 171k.

whats the fault code in eec when a no start or stall has occured ?

scanners for that year have come down allot it should only cost about 40 bucks and yes they have instructions for operation if you have never used one of these before

untill you know this you could guess all day on causes for this might be as simple as your injection timing is off or costly as injection pump failure untill you know what eec says at time of failure your only guessing!

Hi, I have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous CXL. I brought my car to Budapest, Hungary so have no access to experienced Buick mechanics. My local mechanic has successfully diagnosed and fixed my Rendezvous'...

Is your check engine light on? If not Seem to me that is a fuel related problem. How many miles on the car . Has the fuel filter been change? The fuel pump may be losing pressure. That will make it do that.

Car spits and sputters and stalls after driving a while

sounds like a fuel pump problem, with fuel pumps u can have pressure but not enough volume, try goin up a steeper hill in 2nd gear and get about 3000 rpms on the engine and see if it really drops out bad and is really gutless,if that happens without a check engine light coming on it might be yur pump and u should also replace the fuel filter at the same time, hope this helps

On my 1989 Toyota Camry while driving I will get to about 40 miles per hour and the car will not accelerate any more unless I ease up on the gas pedal and lightly accelerate . What is going on?

You most likely have a fuel pressure problem, have you changed the fuel filter? If not change it, if it still runs bad you may need a new fuel pump as well, a plugged filter can quickly destroy the fuel pump.

My 2000 ford contour just yesterday started getting sluggish, eas having problems getting past 50 miles per hour.like when you pull something with your truck up hill.. then today we drove it to town this...

First try changing the fuel filter. It is extremely easy and costs about 12 dollars at Wal-mart. If that doesn't work than try changing the fuel pump itself. Little more costly but still pretty simple to do.
