You will need to let the engine crank for up to a minute to build up fuel pressure again. If this dosent work check to see if the is filter on in the correct postition, there is an arrow showing which way the filter flows, they only work in one direction. Also check to see if any wires or hoses were knocked loose during the install of the new filter. Also check for fuel leaks around the filter. Good luck
