See if it runs when you turn the a/c on. If not Check the coolant level when cold. Check the fuses under the hood. Check for power at the fan when hot or with the a/c on,should have power. If power, then replace the fan motor. If not it get's deeper.

99 dodge caravan electric rad fan not coming on with engine temp or with ac on.

this sounds like the cooling fan is siezed and needs replacing.if you find the plug for the cooling fan you can disconnect it and feed the connectors on the fan motor directly from the battery it should run if not then it will need replacing.this is the most common problem however sometimes the fan relay will cause a problem

1997 dodge carevan over heat check fuse in the rad fan checks good. check the fan buy running a wire to the batt. And it ran and but it will not run by it self.

If the fans work when you apply direct voltage to them but they do not come on when the car gets warm, then I would think the coolant temp sensor is possibly bad. Since the PCM uses the sensor to command the fan(s) to come on.

Rad fans don't come on with ac changed out rela

Fans only last a short while before the motors burn out... Run 12 volts to the fan and see if it runs.. Bet you need a new fan assembly.

2003 dodge caravan radiator fan will not stop running.what is the problem?

Probely a bad relay in the fuse box on the driver side. Theres a map under the fuse box cover to find the RAD FAN relay. There the same as other relays that the van uses. Pull the fan relay & replace with same number thats on the top. Theres also a 40 amp for the fans.

1997 dodge neon. replaced coolant temperature

1997 Plymouth Neon, have replaced radiator, radiation cap, thermostate and hoses, still run hot. Fans do not seem to come on, where is the temperature sensor on this vehicle?

I have 97 dodge caravan 3.0 and i put in a brand new radiator and thermostat. Now the cooling fans dont come on and fluid is bubbling up and coming out of the reservoir. But if I unplug the temp. sensor...

Not unusual to get big airlock if heater (not defrost) isn't on during bleeding process. I usually start vehicle, top up rad 1 " or so from top, turn heater on , then watch temperature gauge & wait for fan to come on after I see flow through rad indicating thermostat opened.(Normal operating temperature)I let it do that about 3 times before I put rad cap back on, after topping rad up to about an inch or 2 from top. Then fill coolant return bottle, to proper level. It may be your problem, but if your temperature gauge goes way up past normal operating temperature, before you see flow in rad, then maybe a faulty thermostat is the cause.

Need procedure to remove/replace radiator on 01 Dodge Grand Carva

This Link is for R&R rad fan assy, but once your there, the rad should be pretty obvious, what else needs to be done. Fan has to come off first anyway.
