Why are my reverse lights on and car want start slipping in 3rd on my 95 crown vic

Have the transmission filter and fluid replaced, Check for a short in the wiring.

I have the same problem, but it does it when car is hot. My crown Victoria will start once cold.. Do u have the same problem? I first thought it was my transponder key but it wasn't.

it sounds like the ignition cylinder has dropped a tumbler not sure of replacement procedure for ur car but it needs the ignition cylinder replaced

98 crown vic transmission slipping


Change the filter and fluid. This car if the transmission is original should have a torque converter drain. Drain the torque converter also,it gets almost all the fluid out of the transmission. Doing this the car will require almost 12 quarts of fluid. Worth a shot. I change mine at 25000 mile intervals.

2000 Ford Crown Victoria transmission want shift into drive but have reverse


check pressures for drive gears if not in range then possable bad clutches in the ****** if you have a scan tool scan for shift coads and tern your shift sylinoids on and off to see if you have engagement if not rebuild or replace

Rear axel removal 95 crown vic


simple!remove wheels wich ever side remove drums or rotors remove rear pumpkin cover! spin gears til u see an 8 mm pin! remove pin/bolt then slide larger pin out ! k push axl in c clip will fall out remove axl ! to install reverse!

How do I change the starter I cant get at the bolts. Do I need to take off the wheel and cowling or can you get at them from under the car

Have you checked the fuel filter. Fuel pump will pressure up, but fuel filter could be clogged and not work without the pressure of the fuel pump.
