I have a chevy 2000 s10 pickup that sometimes will not go when I step on the gas & when I push the pedal to the floor It makes a popping or back firing noise.(this especially happens when I am going up a steep hill.I have had the fuel filter replaced & the air filter I have also tried fuel unjection cleaner. I have had the truck for 3 years & have never had it tuned up. Could this be the problem?

Tune up would be a good place to start. most likely a bad plug wire or plug or both. tune up is in order.
