My gear indicator/odometer DOES NOT light up

I have a 2001 Buick Century. My gear indicator/odometer DOES NOT light up at all. The car has about 112000 miles on it. ALSO my "low tire" light will not reset - thus it is constantly on even with new tires!! So.........I have no idea what gear I am in, how many miles I have gone/or are on my car, and the car always thinks there is a problem with one of my tires!! HELP!!

The owners manual says the following:

Turn the ignition key on just to the point before you crank the engine.......(you'll here the normal "ding-ding" sound when you do this)......then, press AND hold the "reset" button (located on the fuse panel on the passengers side of the car) for about 5-6 seconds. You will see the "Low Tire" indicator blink and few times and then go off! It's important to make sure all your tires are inflated properly BEFORE you do this.

1999 buick century odometer light does not work

this is a common problem and the dash cluster must be removed and sent out for repair, cost is about $175 to replace the LED (Light emitting diode) display that has burned out, this is a faxtory defect as far as this expert is concerned, it is not a fuse problem.

The gear shift indicator light and the odometer comes on intermittantly on my 2001 buick century

you will need the instrument cluster replaced. there are several companies that rebuild them, take it to a qualified repair shop, I'm sure they have a place they deal with to repair these. you will need to send yours in, as they usually want the old one first, to program mileage.

The cluster will have to be sent out for repairs or exchange by a dealer or see Model Electronics.

'98 Buick Century has no odometer/gear selector display

The resisters on the back of the odometer fell off. they can be re solder if you can find them. That is what happened to mine. i stumbled on video directions on youtube. just pull out you cluster. there are 4 resisters on ther right top side of the of the PC board. if there still there they will be blackend and burned. just roll your finger on them and if they fall off easy there bad. you can buy replacement resistors for like $3 and same your self a $100 to fix or worse. buying a new one. ther resistors i used were 1/2 watt 150Ohm 5% tolerance resistors. and they can be bought from any raido shack. i hope this helps.

Tire reset button

The tire reset button is for your tire pressure monitoring system. If you have the tires replaced or if you have a low tire the T.P.M.S. light may come on and the button resets the light after repairs are made.

Odometer indicator not working for buick century custom 2001 about 1 week ago, in the middle of a trip, my odometer stopped reading miles. the push button where u can reset your trip miles is not counting...

OdometerGears.com has the gears for you to repair the odometer. If the odometer and the tripometer are stacked you will need and E20= 20 tooth gear and a 16 tooth medium pod. If the odometer and tripometer are split left to right you will need 2 drive and 2 worm gears. Give them a call and they will offer you a discount for the four gears. The total for two gears is $54.00 and for the four gears is $89.00 both prices include the shipping.

Odometer indicator not working for buick century custom 2001

You do not need to replace the instrument cluster! The fix for this is a pack of resistors that you can buy for $1.00 or less. Take the cluster right out and you'll see 4 resistors in the upper-right area on the back of the cluster. You can probably pick them off with your finger, they'll be so worn out. Once those are off, solder new ones on (carefully, don't burn your circuit board) and reassemble the dash board.
I fixed the odometer/gear selector light on my 2001 Century this way and there are videos on youtube that will walk you through the whole process.
