Ok first you have to go under the hood and on the right side you will see wear you have to unhook the heater hoses off the pipes of the heater core, there also might be a bracket you will have to unhook from the core tubes you will understand why later, after you did all that go inside truck under dash on right side(yes it comes out from under dash) on the far right under dash by the kick panel there is a bolt that has to come out that holds the bottom side of the dash, it will take a metric 13 socket or a 1/2 in. will also work to, that has to come out so you can pull it out far enought to get the cover off that covers the core, now after you got that far there are screws that hold the cover on the heater box you should see them perty easy but there is one on top far right that you can't that one you will have to feel for ( most people don't put it back in including myself because its such a bear) i can't tell you how many screws there are for sure but i think there are 6 or 7 or maybe less, after you get all the screws out it may take a little fennesing but it should come right off and thats why you have to pull the dash out a little to get the cover off and out of the way, and there is the heater core it will have 2 straps that hold it in, there will be 2 screws that hold each strap 1/4 in. socket or same size you used for the cover screws, and thats it, assembly is reverse order of disassembly. Hope this helps.
