You might want to have someone check your throwout bearing.

the throwout bearing is located in the front of the transmission its job is to engage and disengage the clutch. You also might want to try to push the clutch pedal in by hand and look to see if it is just something hitting the pedel at the top.

Why is clutch pedal making a single clicking noise everytime it is released ?

The click you are hearing is most likely coming from the clutch safety switch, which prevents the car from starting unless the clutch is fully depressed. Some vehicles use a relay to activate/deactivate the safety feature when the clutch pedal is cycled.

Noisey clutch when clutch pedel is pressed

pretty common problem, the noise is a throw out bearing, or release bearing it is called by both names unfortunley you will need to remove the transmission to replace the bearing, it would be a good idea to replace the clutch at the same time.....good luck

Clutch rattle

this sounds like an adjustment issue. you did not mention the mileage...The clutch is released by a bearing, this release bearing needs to come back off of the fingers of the clutch pressure place, early wear and noise happens.

Near the end of the clutch life, you may find that you cannot release any more, if your model is adjustable.

Start with proper clutch release adjustment.

The clutch pedal on my passat stayed close to floor

sounds like a problem with the hydraulic clutch, either the master or slave cylinder was bypassing fluid and causing the low pedal.

Clutch noise and stiffness

it sounds like your clutch release bearing has or is colapsing.when you press the clutch the release bearing is under the most load hence the noise.gearbox out i,m afraid. Can you still get gears ok ?.Also the pedal box,s are prone to break on polo,s ,the symptom for that is like a squashy pedal and hard to get gears.if you can look up at the top of the clutch pedal where the cable mounts see if the bracket the cable fits in to is broken away at the top.
