Check the primary and secondary resistance of your coil. Coils can fault out when too hot and also take some time to heat up.

Will not start after changing fuel pump and the vsv, what could it be?

wow, no year posted, now that really makes this hard and no engine size either (your are good company, 10,000 just like this....)

why guess and why does every post on this forum all start off
with the most hard part on car to replace, replaced. at raw guess.?.
any $20 fuel pressure gauge would have shown pressure was ok.
ok ill learn you up.
first off, all gas cars need spark first. in fact the ECU cuts fuel any time
it even SUSPECTS (or thinks) spark is bad in any way shape or form.
it has 3 ways to tell. that.
The engine CAN not burn fuel with no spark so that is reason 2 not
to replace any pumps, or injectors or like.

did you check spark at all cylinder (im dropping to generic answers due to no year or engine stated)
good spark at all cylinders not just 1.
try a tune up now, all new spark plugs. (duh factor 1. the 60k mile tuneup and fuel filter if fitted external to tank) again i fail, no year.
so got spark
well , if YES,
  • try test fuel next
  • dead?
  • or runs for 3 seconds and ends.
  • or runs for 100k more miles.

watch scotty
he skips compression, I never do. skip ads.

get any scan tool
crank for 5 seconds
see DTC 340 /355 or any others stored.
BINGO , lost spark and no fuel by design
all EFI cuts fuel for no spark for FIRE SAFETY.
BY DESIGN (logic inside the PCM)

Car starts most time then out of the blue it doesn't no spark claened cotacts in distributer ok runs . the 3 weeks go battle to start same thing

As you have confirmed the electric section must be checked or the spares changed. So start with replacement of the spark plugs, the contacts in the distributor , the capacitor, if the car has clocked more than 40 miles without any replacement.
Next check on the HT cables to the coils, from the distributor to the plugs and finally the HT coil.
make sure that the wiring to the coil is intact- the voltage to the +'ve of coil is present .

Hard to start runs ok after you get it started

Could be fuel pump relay, Plugged fuel filter, Bad spark plugs.
You can also check your crank sensor if you have coil packs and igniton module to make sure it is sending a signal every time the crank rotates thus providing spark to ignition module, plugs wires, and to plugs.
You can check the relay itself with an ohmmeter, place tester in ohm setting, place one probe on each side of relay

95 Camaro Z-28 starts hard

Need to verify fuel pressure at the injector rail with the engine cranking and with the key on and engine off. Specification is 55 - 61psi. The pressure should build with one cycle of the key. If the pressure is slow to build up there may be a restriction in the system between the pump and fuel rail .
The system should hold pressure without leaking down. If it leaks down there is a problem. If all is good there Checking for a good blue spark at several plugs to verify the ignition system is working ok. A vacuum leak could also cause a hard start issue.
A bad pick up coil or weak crank sensor can cause hard start issues also.

2002 pontiac grand prix code reader says it is running lean dies runs rough

Sounds like a large vacuum leak. Possible hose off, intake gasket blown, etc. Listen for any vacuum hissing sounds from a leak somewhere.

Car fails to start one day and starts the next.

I would check all the relays and the computer .
They could be over heating when coming on for a while then shorting out.
