Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

02 dodge ram 1500 is over heating changed thermostate and it still is over heating the little fan to the right is not coming on buypast it it works but don't come on by it self if its a relay whats the name of it in the fuse box if not why is it still over heating

The fan is electronicly controlled so it comes on when it wants, but maybe you have a clogged radiator, let it get hot then feel your hand on the rad, it should be all the same temp.

I do not have enough heat in my 1994 dodge ram truck


I expect the thermostate is stuck partially open not allowing the engine to come to proper temperature. Replace the thermostate found under the goose-neck (follow the upper hose back to the engine) under this piece is the thermostate. Be certain to clean all of the old gasket material away and use a new gasket. Watch to be ceratin the thermostate is not put in upside down, if this happens your issue won't be not enough heat but over heating.

change your thermostate. it's stuck closed.
by one of thos new one's that if it sticks it will stick open instead of closed. good-luck, ray

If we have a good thermostat. then check into the clutch fan , it sounds like your fan is on all the time
