94 s10 low reading on oil gaug.must i pull motor to fix

my s10 has low oil reading when in park but almost 40 psi when at high speed. must i pull motor to put in oil pump or is that not the problem?

HOW LOW AND DID YOU PUT NEW OIL IN IT, AND HOW MANEY MILES DOS IT HAVE, AND IT MAY NEED NEW OIL.
