Question about 2003 Toyota Camry

2 Answers

On 2002 Camry AC stops working, light on switch flashes. Turn switch off for 30 sec. Turn back on & usually works (cools) for quite sometime. Mechanic checked system & couldn't find a problem. Cabin/AC filter was changed & AC works better but still shuts off as before. Could it be electrical? Thanks

I have an 2002 camry le. My car goes dead at a stop light or sometimes as soon as I switch it on. The idle will start going down but if I turn the ac on it will idle back up and stay on. When it starts...

check the output of your alternator it may be low ,and check the belt as it may be slipping .the fact that when you put on your AC shows the trouble is a slipping belt, do that first, then check the output of the alternator.

Overheating problem, what is the most probable cause?

You need to stop using it immediately before you
cause some damage or more than you may already have
That is just common sense. It should not overheat or
be any different than it was in the past without problem

The car has to be checked over/diagnosed,tested,etc for
various issues to resolve

Borrow or Rent a car until resolved

No way to guess at the problem

You should have some type of codes avail even
if the check light isn't on,you need professional help
to get a start on resolving

The timing belt maybe worn & jumped or the head gasket

Over heating isn't usually a cheap repair unless the thermostat
sticks partially closed

The RPM moves around the car is 11 years old,so it may just
need a though going over

Timing Belt,O2 Sensors,Exhaust Converter,Spark Plugs
and such

If you depend on a repair shop to do things & don't
have the knowledge to request work done throughout
the year, then you run into a lack of proactive preventative
maintenance situation. Most things are simple looking
back, once resolved

AC and Cooling Fans Not Working

Try installing a jumper across the N/O terminal at the relay socket. Temp sensor in the radiator or in the thermostat housing supplies the signal for the relay the other relay signal is supplied by A/C in on position. both fans will run continuous with A/C on. One fan runs intermittent relative to water temp. Be careful not to blow a head gasket. If you leave the jumpers in place, the fans will stop when the ignition is turned off, save the engine until you isolate the relay signal problem. then simply remove jumpers and reinstall the relays

Ac stopped working, is fully charged, if the battery is disconnected and rehooked up the ac may work for an hour or down to 30 secs. now the blower quit. the rear hatch keeps clicking as to open. what...

Try to check the electric relay for the A/C system and clean the relay terminals! By using the same type of relay/ buy a new one, try to interchange the A/C relay untill the system works! The rear hatch switch could have been shorted and kept on sending signal to the solenoid to open the door!
better yet, if u have a friendly tech that might check everything in ur car!

Yellow light flashing dodge caravan1998 reset afer 30 min rear wiper defrost ac

The blinking lights in the rear wiper rear defrost area can be reset by holding 2 buttons of the 3 on the left hand side. The top and bottom buttons. Turn the key on and hold them for about 10 sec and they should start flashing differently. Just let it do this. After they start flashing different. It will take 5 to 10 mins. Then one or more will quit flashing all together. If they don't after about 20 min reset them again it can take about 5 trys sometimes before they all go out. Good Luck

Camry 1996 sxv10 a/c button flashing

this problem is not caused by a filter, it is caused by the system detecting the AC compressor cycling on and off more ofter than it should, as the compressor cools it is turned off and on as needed to maintain a preset pressure in the low pressure AC line, there is a switch or other device that senses the pressure and opens and closes to keep the press within a rage of about 28-34 PSI, what does all this mean? simple your system is low on Refrigerant and may have a leak, u will at very least need to have it charged back up to full capacity, about a 0ne hour job and $20 in new refrigerant.

1993 camry v6 A/C Flashing

The AC light is flashing because the AC compressor "revolution sensor" is not working properly. You need to consider replacing the Revolution sensor that is located on the side of the compressor. You need a pro to do this, as the Freon will escape if you try this yourself.
