My front wheel staggers when at speeds 40 to 50 mph.But around the speeds of 60 mph it stops. I have tried new tires but no luck. This 97 jeep cheroke is a head-ache

Get the alignment done on your vehicle and make sure all the tires are properly balanced. Look for play in the sway bar and also have the wheel bearings checked out.

I get significant vibration when decelerating, most signficantly at speeds above 40 mph to coming to a complete halt. I am not sure if the brakes are going out, or the suspension or both. Any help would...

Some jeeps have a hydraulic stabilizer(looks like a shock mounted sideways under the front end) they use to stabilize the front end. When this goes bad can cause an out of control shake in the front end(steering wheel), very common for jeeps.

1996 jeep cherokee sport front end vibration driving at 50-70 mph

Hi:
The first thing to check is the drive shaft universal joints or cv joints, as they are prone to causing vibration at certain speeds. If they are ok, then try swapping your tires from the front to back, to eliminate them.

Front End shaking

Most likely with this problem is the front tires. The tires maybe " out of balance " or " out of round " causing the vibration at certain speeds.

Roar in front end

I have the same thing. It started last summer when I had about 20,000 miles. I just took it into the dealer. They say it is the antenna and that they removed it and tested drove it and the noise went away. Mine starts around 35 mph. I don't know if they are pulling my leg and there is a bigger problem that the financially strapped GM won't fix. I also have a bad CV joint and unless it goes out within the next 500 miles, GM won't replace it.

Front End Steering problem

Here's the fix. Have all of the front end components checked for excessive play (tie rod ends, ball joints, pittman arm, and steering box) and replace any components that are worn. Also, REPLACE the steering stabilizer! It looks like a cross-mounted shock absorber attached to the frame and your steering linkage. These wear out and cause the exact condition that you've experienced.
