There is a flap inside the duct behind the dash board. The flap is controlled by a vacuum actuator that may be stuck directing all the air in back if that is the case.
If there is no A/C anywhere in the vehicle. Either the system needs to be recharge with A/C or there is a leak in the A/C system. The recharge stations have guages that also tell the system pressure.

2004. Why doesn't rear defroster work?

The rear defroster fuse may have opened but failure of the switch, the connection to the rear defroster grid, or the grid itself could be the cause.

2009 toyota corolla front defrost only works a little bit. heat and rear defrost both work

take the test.
engine at or over 180F. (y./n)
full heat in other modes, (yes)
front defrost is weak.
weak front only,
1: recirculate is on, turn it off. (mixes cold with hot and net is warm)
2: damper failuire. (not going to defrost postion)
3: bad controls.
3a; some toys have a heater water valve, that i only opens 1/2 way
or is clogged. partially.

the FSM covers these tests, buy the book and see.

I've taken out the relay to turn off my front

Are you sure that is not the AC compressor relay?
I don't know your car, but not aware of any cars having a defroster relay, a defogger relay for the rear window with the electric grid in the window, yes. Never heard of a defroster relay.

Why is rear defrost not working?

If the rear defrost does not work when the front is being used, you may have a faulty relay or a break in the wire going to the rear glass.

I have a 1990 Ford Taurus and my blinkers don't

blinkers sounds like the flasher unit is not working. It's located under dash. Also check for burnt out bulbs.
Rear defrost, or rear defogger?: Your defogger for the rear window would run off a relay, probably located in the fuse panel of your car. Often, the connections at the rear window get broke or disconnected.

Front vents will not work

If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.
