what engine, ??? 4.0L i think this car is the rare 1 engine car.......
Here is the removal, i skipped put back,,, lazy i am.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Install an engine support fixture, J-28467-A or the equivalent.
- Remove the engine mount-to-body through bolt nut and through bolt.
- Remove the through bolt nut and bolt from the engine side of the mount.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle.
- Remove the front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove the right inner fender well splash shield.
- Remove the lower center air deflector.
- Remove the left transaxle mount-to-frame through bolt.
- Remove the lower retaining bolt and nut from the engine mount bracket.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the power steering line retainer from the bracket.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the upper retaining nut and bolt from the engine mount bracket.
- Remove the serpentine belt from the power steering pump pulley.
- Remove the fuel plastic sight shield on the intake manifold.
- Remove the power steering pump from the mounting bracket and set aside. DO NOT disconnect the power steering lines from the pump.
- Raise the engine using the support fixture.
- Remove the engine mount bracket from the engine.
- Remove the torque axis mount from the frame rail.
- Lower the engine using the support fixture until clearance for J-38416-B, or an equivalent puller is attained.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle.
- Remove the crankshaft balancer retaining bolt.
- Remove the crankshaft balancer using J-38416-B.
- Remove the serpentine belt tensioner.
- Remove the serpentine belt idler pulley.
- Remove the front cover bolts and remove the cover and gasket. DO NOT discard the gasket, if it is undamaged it can be re-used.
- Remove the 3 oil pump mounting bolts and remove the oil pump and drive spacer.
- If necessary, disassemble and inspect the pump as follows:
- Remove the drive spacer from the pump housing.
- Remove the 2 screws holding the pump housing halves together.
- Remove the inner (drive) and outer (driven) rotors from the housing. Indicate the mating surfaces (dimples).
- Remove the pressure relief valve.
- Inspect the pump housing for nicks, burrs, chips or debris that might cause a leak or binding condition in the rotor pocket.
- Inspect the drive and driven rotors for nicks or burrs.
- Check the pump cover and interior surface for excessive wear or score marks. Check for flatness.
- If any components show signs of excessive wear or damage, replace the pump assembly.
