Audi all road malfunction indicator light

Hi there. I have a 05 allroad, I think the MIL on yesterday is because I left the gas cap untight and moved my car from one to the other gas pump. Can I get the light off by myself without go to the dealership? Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.

I had the brake light switch replaced by a local dealer. Cost was $140 and it fixed the problem. Have driven the car for two weeks since and no lights and all systems normal.

SOURCE: Allroad Tiptronic Gearbox "holding" gears before changing up.

Have you had the vehicle put on a diagnostic machine, does the car feel slugish, any lack of power, we have seen a lot of these vehicles with air mass sensor faults. When they fail they do not show a code but with the right scanner they can be seen not working. This affects the gearchange because the ecu does not have the correct data to shift. Of course it could also be the transmission is in need of overhaul. but i would take it to a good diagnostic garage first. It is not uncommon for the air mass sensor to fail after it has been disturbed or knocked in the workshop. we have never found out why.

SOURCE: how to remove rear seat from 2001 Audi allroad

Not 100% sure on yours but normally you'll either have a couple of bolts way down under seat cushion at front, near floor, or in some cases, you have to push seat cushion back toward rear window, hard & lift, to pop it out of notched catch under it.

Before you do anything else you are just going to have to read the codes. So buy the maintance book at autozone, locate the little juction box on the fire wall and jump the terminals with a little wire. Then of course sit in the drivers seat turn on the key(do not start) and read the blinks. Then you will know what the problem is.

SOURCE: 2001 audi allroad air suspension wont lower

I had the same problem, I went to my mechanic and they said that the system has shut itself off due to a problem the computer has seen, in my case it was a selinoid in the pump which released air had failed and had to be replaced, unfortonatly you can not buy the selinoid seperately and would have to replace the entire pump, I was lucky though because he has a spare pump that he pulled off another car which was blown but the selinoid was still good. It took them about 4 hours to find the problem but that was my experiance. DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE DEALER they will charge you for 4 new air bags and a new pump they quoted me almost 5000 Dollers and i got mine fixed for $500

This is only a chat room everyone uses the same
There is no info here
With a EURO Car, your going to have to try & google
the codes you have & hope they are on the internet, or
you can even find manfacture suspension codes
I don't think there is any chance you can work on that
yourself & certainly not without factory manuals &
scan tool software for european vehicles

Malfunction Indicator light stays on on my 2006 Jeep Liberty.\r\nCar runs fine but light has stayed on when operating. I have checked gas cap. How can I turn off dashboard indicator light?

Mil light is coming on because it's registering a dtc (diagnostic trouble code) may or may not be evap/fuel vapor discharge like a loose or faulty seal in your gas cap. Have codes checked at an auto parts store (for free) and they can tell you what code/codes are showing. List them here for solutions. You can also have them erase code and if mil lamp comes on again you know somethings to blame and you need to check it out.

Check engine light comes on

A malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), commonly referred to as the "Check Engine Light" is an indicator of malfunction of the computerized engine management system. It is found on the instrument console of most automobiles. When illuminated, it is typically either an amber or red color. On vehicles equipped with OBD-II, the light has two stages: steady (indicating a minor fault such as a loose gas cap or failing oxygen sensor) and flashing (indicating a severe fault, that will eventually destroy the catalytic converter, such as a misfire). When the MIL is lit, the engine control unit stores a fault code related to the malfunction, which can be retrieved with a scan tool and used for further diagnosis. The malfunction indicator lamp is usually labeled with the text check engine, service engine soon, check engine soon, or a picture of an engine.
The MIL appeared in the early 80s along with computerized engine controls. Even the earliest systems, such as GM's CCC (Computer Command Carburetor) system had self diagnosis functionality. When the computer detected a fault, it illuminated the MIL. Up until OBDII, on most cars the MIL could output codes, when two pins on the ALDL are jumped, the light would flash the codes, for instance (blink) (pause) (blink) (blink) for code 12. Some manufacturers retained this feature even after OBDII, such as Honda.

Hope this help (remember comment and rated this). Good luck.

It can be your CO2 sensor. And another one that all ways makes the check engine light come on is your gas cap be for you turn your car on make sure your gas cap is on like 3 clicks then go clear the codes. If that doesn't help then good luck

Malfunction Indicator Lamp(MIL) on and car shakes

First thing is to go to Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and ask them to scan the computer for fault codes (your check engine light is on, so you absolutely have at least one code in there). They'll do it for free, whereas a dealer will get you for an hour's labor. Do that and then post the code(s) you get up here as a reply to this question, and we'll take it from there. Also, when you reply, please list your engine, transmission, and whether the car is a quattro or not.

2004 jeep grand laredo MIL(malfunction indicator light)

Yes it can be caused by low quality fuel, and your gas cap not being installed properly. Best bet is the gas cap, so take it off and screw it back on. Then take your vehicle to autozone and hook up diagnostics to clear your MIL.
