Makes no sound but lights and radio still work
Sounds like starter
Check the starter fuse in the power supply box located under the hood located on the left side, if the fuse is good, then check the power going to the starter, follow the red cable coming from the battery it will lead you to the starter, if there's power to the starter check the power coming of the starter solenoid using a test light, by engaging the engine as if you were attempting to start the car if the test light lights up, REPLACE THE STARTER
It could literally be a dozen or more things...from simple to catastrophic. Here's a few... A) your battery is weaker than you think and won't turn the motor over, B) your starter is shot, C) engine seized, D) fuse(s) blown, E) dilithium crystals low, F) etc.
Good luck.
I sort of had the same problem....
turned out the negative battery terminal clamp was too corroded and all I did was re-strip the wire and buy a new clamp.
could also be a starter.

i have a similar problem with my stratus except mine is a 95'. I haven't fully figured the problem out but i have been told to check all of the grounded wires you have hooked to your car.

I researched and found I needed to reseat or replace the IOD fuse. In my Dakota this is labled "Interior Lights". By pulling this fuse it allowed the radio to reset and everything came back. Hope it works !

your battery cables and battery posts need to be cleaned. or the pattery cables need to be replaced

Proper way to jump your car is to attach the jumper cable clamps to the marked posts on your car...on the vehicle that is jumping you, attach the positive clamp to the positive post and the negative clamp to some piece of metal on the vehicle...can even be a screw as long as it sparks a little (grounding). Don't connect the clamp to the negative post.
