no a/c problem but when I run the a/c the car over heat faster and with out the a/c it will over heat if the car is running for a long time it will cut off. the gauge will go up after a few hours before it's in the red then after it sits for a while it's fine

Your thermostat has nothing to do with that system, however if you want to replace the thermostat you need to undo the bolt at the fron of the oil pan on the tube where the lower rad. hose goes.  Then from up top there will be two 10mm bolts below the exhaust manifold undo those and the tube come out and the thermostat is in that tube. You may need to move the exhaust manifold out of the way if you don't have the proper tools.

Regardless to if you had a 195 degree or no thermostat at all, your air conditioner would still operate...It has nothing at all to do with that system. Providing that you do not presently have any overheating problem or cooling system leaks, the only thing you need to do is to make sure that you have at least a 50/50 antifreeze mixture in the radiator. If your A/C system is not working you need to find out the reason...(low freon level bad electrical, control unit etc.)

Still not the thermostat...check for leaves stuck between the radiator and a/c condenser, check electric fan(s) on radiator to make sure they are coming on. If everything is OK, make sure you have 50/50 coolant mix. If that's OK, likely you have a partially obstructed radiator (needs flush or replacement) At this time of year that kind of problem shows up, as radiator can't transfer enough heat out of the engine What worked when outside air was cold, does not anymore...add the additional loading from the a/c working the engine harder and you get an overheat.

Electronic Spark Control runs a self check and it failed the check. You need to replace the HEI module inside the distributor, check all the wires and connectors for rust and clean as needed.

95 Cavy Z24 leaking coolant and overheating. Someone looked at it and said they saw spewing from what looked to be the thermostat housing. What do I ask for when trying to get the replacement? Should...

Is this on the end of the head, drivers side. The thermostat isn't in that housing, but it is common what you are describing. That is the water inlet housing, it is made of plastic and they crack. It is available aftermarket.

Have similar problem, seems to be too much pressure build up in the gas tank, when you loosen the gas cap, there is pressurized air comes out. If I leave the cap loose, the car runs fine
