The oil pressure sending unit is usally located in the same side the oil filter is and this is because the oil filter is connected to the oil pump so there should be one little single wire in that area

Where is the oil pressure sensor on a 1995 Chevy Truck? V-8, 5.7 L. I have the new one, just can't find the one I need to replace.

If you go to a parts store, I prefer CARQUEST, they will gladly print up a schematic or just show you where it is if that is all you need.

96 Chevy blazer how do I get out of safe mode ran low on oil now runs an drives but won't let car go fast past 2000rpms

The computing system on your vehicle has no safe mode for running low on oil . The only thing that will happen is the check gauges light will come on.
The oil pressure gauge is an analog device that is located in the IPC. The oil pressure gauge is operated directly by the oil pressure sensor circuit. As the engine oil pressure changes, the resistance of the sensor and the current flow in the oil pressure gauge changes. The current flow in the oil pressure gauge causes the needle to move in order to appropriately display the engine oil pressure. A sensor resistance of 1ohms will display as 0 kPa (0 PSI) and a resistance of 88 ohms will display as 80 kPa (80 PSI ). The IPC also monitors the oil pressure sensor circuit and interprets the current flow in this circuit in order to determine when the engine oil pressure is too low. If the oil pressure is too low, the check gauges tell tale will turn on. The oil pressure sender is located on the left side of the 2.2L. The 4.3L engine, oil pressure sender is located at the top left side, near the distributor/high voltage switch.
Try disconnecting the battery cables an hold them together for ten minutes , reset ECM !

How can I check oil pressure guage is there a sensor or vacuume line that could of worked loose where would it be located at

Location of oil pressure sender unit depends on what engine you have. There should be one wire going to sender, and if it has come off, gauge will read zero. 4.0 inline 6 has sender low on passenger side of engine, above the starter.

Location of oil pressure switch 98 durango

please remember I am NOT there in front of you! my answers are based on your information the oil pressure sender is located in the rear of the engine on the passenger side next to the distributor you will need a special socket to install it without damaging it, it is called a deep oil pressure sender socket, here is a picture looking from the REAR of the engine, the only problem you may have is releasing the red slide lock it can be easy or difficult i clean the connector first then slide the red lock over and release the connector. Check oil level warning comes on. Oil level is OK. This warning is intermittent.

first thing is check the oil pressure not by the instrument panel if ok then panel is out if not its the sensor or oil pump Try this replace the temperature sender with the new green model and oil light will disappear no more three annoying beeps.
