Turn key on passenger window goes down - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

unhook battery 15 min hook back on lower driver window put key on ignition just bump the engine and wait until security lit stop flashing turn key off do it again 3 times once lit goes off crank engine an should start if lit wont go away or flash while cranking you have a security issue at switch or bcm now need a scanner capable to look at the security data

Try this

turn the key to the run position, do not try and start. press and hold the window switch in the down position until the window is all the way down, then count to three. Hold the window switch in the up position until the window is all the way up, then count to three. Push the window button down to engage the auto down function (you do not need to hold it down). once the window is all the way down pull up on the window switch momentarily to activate the auto up (you do not need to hold the switch in the up position). The window should now be reset.

the passenger switch need to be replaced

There could be a lock controller somewhere that is not working.
I don't have a wiring diagram for your truck.

Generally, the power window motors are grounded thru the doors, or the switches provide ground. In your case the motors are probably grounded thru the doors.
The master switch "overrides" the door switch so you have extra wires that do the same thing. The E wire probably gives the door switch power and the A and C are up and down. The B and D are override circuits from the master that bypass the door switch.
Sometimes the motor is grounded thru the switch then thru the door.

try this,put the key in door and unlock/hold over key.windows will go down,then lock/hold over,windows will go up.this resets the windows auto trap mech.(kids fingers)if you still have a problem also try using silicon spray on the runners.NOT THE GLASS.....

Your car will allow you to roll the windows up and down after the keys are taken out for a short time. Eventually, it will cut out, and you have to replace the keys to continue the up and down fun. However, when you open a door, this tells the car that the power can be shut off because the passengers are exiting the vehicle. It's not a defect. I assume that's what you mean.

Passenger window lost programing. To reprogram, turn the key on, go to the passenger side and with the passemger switch run the window all the way down and hold switch in down position for 2 seconds, then run all the way up and hold in up position for 2 seconds, then repeat again within 5 seconds. Should work from drivers side master switch now.

try putting your key in the door on the passneger side and turning to lock it...the window should go up...a replacement motor is about 350 to 400 dollars

I think that what has happened with your vehicle, is that the master (driver control) switch has become defective....If you have a friend who is good with electronics you may be able to ask for help in getting it fixed....otherwise a new unit is needed.
