You never pour just ordinary water in radiators, in fact you should use a mixture of coolant, and purified water. Plain water will corrode your cooling system, and you could end up with an overheating car, and a blown motor several months later.Not worth it in trying to save on coolant. Most coolant are mixed already, so you dont have to mix them.

There should be a cap on the top of the radiator, you can top it up from there, only undo this when it is cold to touch, never open it when it is hot. However, there should also be a surge or overflow tank and its best to fill it up from there. The location should be stated in your owners manual. There should also be some markers on the tank showing the level. Water is fine for just topping up a small portion, but for more use a mixture of water and coolant.

My peugeot 3008 has oil in the water coolant but it never overheated and there is no pressure what can it be?

indicates a failed transmission oil cooler in the radiator tank
The fix is a new radiator
the problem is properly flushing the oil out of the engine and heater
Best place for the job will be a professional radiator shop as they will have a radiator and face this problem a lot so they will know how to flush the system

Hi my peugeot 308 is using more oil than usual and the oil pressure warning sign keeps coming on but no obvious signs of an oil leak

After cooling, check the radiator water for signs of engine oil. Oil can be forced into the water cooling system through faulty seals or gaskets.

Hi, my gearbox work good in normal situation. but when the radiator water temperature recieve to 90 oC and specialy in traficc when I want to move I Peressure the gass pedal but my Peugeot( 206) dont...

could be a gearbox cooler fault if ure engines temperature is 90 degrees thats ok because thats known as operating temperature, ure engine is most efficient at that temperature, however if u have a cooler fault with ure gearbox then this may be causing it to overheat internally and may damage ure gearbox in constant use i would advise having ure gearbox cooler checked.

Hi, My peugeot 206 is leaking water at the front of the car just behind the reg plate from a pipe looking thing. Is that my radiator leaking?

sounds like the water feed from the radiator to the engine, may just be a damaged or worn hose...if so, its a cheap easy fix

Good morning;
does this critter have a radiator fill w/cap? I've run accross som large Sotrd trucks that don't.
Well, anyway, it soesn't make sense you would need to fill the radiator via the resenoir. That is only good for short pressure relief and cook down vacuum recovery of coolant. 60/40 is the mix ratio. If it hs a resevoir it should have a radiator cap.The air in system will purge itself as it starts to circulatte cioolant. turn heater off till your system is full, then on when engine reaches operating temp. then if needed top iff coolant. Leave radiator cap off while waiting for coolant to start circulating. When thermostat opens out comes the air. Then put coolant mix in reservoir to fill line. check for leaks and all hose clamps are tight and you should be set, Good luck - Ned
