Question about 1989 Nissan Maxima
Remove outer panel, usually two screws above and snap clips below. When it's out of the way, the gauge cluster should be easily removed by then- usually two screws on either side, just check for other screws to make sure. You will need to pull out the wiring sockets behind the gauge cluster (this could be a tight reach). Once it has been freed, you can remove the transparent cover. Hope this helps.
