Depends on the model. On the 2.0 it is easy. Intake manifold is in two pieces. Take of the fly by wire connection on the throttle body and the connecting hose that goes to the air cleaner. Then look for the Allen bolts on the upper intake taken them out and make sure you put them in a good place so you do not lose them. Then you need to do the same with the lower manifold and taken the Allen bolt out as well.and it will gave you access for injectors and spark plugs. If you have the VR6 like a GLI or GLX then the hole front of the car need to come off! Not too bad it takes 30 minutes to take a part. YouTube has plenty of videos that show how to take it off. Leave the AC connections in place this way there is no need to recharge the AC system. Then when you bend down you can see the bolts on the bottom of the manifold. These are a one time use and need replacing when taken off. The intake gasket needs to be replaced as well. After replacing my valve cover gasket I spent $800 plus in parts and these were my jobber prices as well. VR engines in general are expensive to.work on. On the 1.8 turbos it is the same procedure you have to take the front of the car.

My bmw went in to limpmode has no power but if i remove the mas air flow sensor its go like all ok but its hevy on diesel

You have an air leak on the intake side of the engine. Removing the MAF will keep the car in Open Loop (cold) mode. Normally after 2-3 mins the O2 sensors start functioning and then the system goes into a Closed Loop mode meaning it's reacting to the inputs from the O2 sensors and all the emissions related components. When MAF disconnected, it ignores those and runs from the stock open loop map settings.. You need to reinstall and mist all the intake components until u find the culprit. U don't indicate the model so can't be more specific as to where to look, but there are a common problem areas which you could look at first... Intake boot. Often the cause of this issue as it forms small cracks due to continual flexing... Another area to look is EGR/oil separator and associated tubes, as they too fail. The oil separator itself has been known to fail over time as well. If you reply with more details, I should be able to provide additional details.

Wgolf.mk4.reg2000.removing upper part inlet manifold.

If you have a 2000 VW Golf 2.0 liter, the answer is yes. Just remove the top part of the intake manifold. A magnet and long handle allen key set will make the job easier for removing/ reinstalling the cap screws. Once manifold off, cover the intake holes with blue painters tape, to avoid dropping any thing down in them. Take care on plug wire removal. Change each plug one at a time. ***Tighten spark plugs with a torque wrench, spec 22 ft-lb in the Bentley manual. AEG, AVH, AZG eng codes***

Installation instructions for header install on a 87 vw golf do I need to remove the intake manifold?

You do not need to remove the intake manifold to change the exhaust manifold on this vehicle.  There are 8 bolts or studs that can be removed and replaced without touching the intake bolts.
Hope this helps!
