Problem with the battery on my van.

The battery light on my minivan keeps popping on from time to time. The battery indicator light will come on and then immediately the van will lose power. I then have to turn off the A/C and Radio to get the light to turn off. The first time it happened the van actually died. So we replaced the alternator. Then a few weeks later the van died again and found out that the alternator we just replaced was burnt out. We exchanged for another one and replaced it again. This did not solve the problem. The battery was not taking the charge after hooking it up over night. So we replaced the battery. Everything has been good up until last week when my battery light came on again when I had the A/C running. I parked turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes then turned it back on with the A/C off. What is sucking the battery life from the van?

I am going to hazard a guess that you have a bad ground connection somewhere in the charging circuit . Check ALL your grounds on the body, engine and frame for looseness or corrosion. It may be intermittent depending on temp or vibration some double check everything twice. Bad grounds can do weird things sometimes.

Check all the connectors in your charging circuitry.
Check if no cable is worn and thus gives directly to the body ( or engine )
Had a similar problem in a Patrol. The charge lead from the alternator to the main circuitry was worn against a bolthead and gave directly to the body at moments...

2009 pontiac montana won't start and the horn honks

Have a load test done on the battery as what you have said points top a bad battery cell. With the horn working the indication is that the voltage in the battery falls below that required for the alarm to work so it is reading it as someone stealing the battery and when you release the key the battery voltage is sufficient to turn the alarm back off.

Short circuits are never the same in nature of what is causing the short, so the best advice is to have a trained electrical tech look in to this.

A/c and recirc lights blinks no works fans

This is a common problem on Chrysler minivans after a battery has been replaced or has been severly discharged. I will refer you to the fix listed in Wiki - with a slight warning. The first time I tried this (I have owned several of these vans) I had to do it 3 or 4 times before I got it right - and I am a technician. Here is the link.

Malfunction symbol appearing

Does it look like an engine? It means you have a problem with the engine. Those vans don't have a low coolant sensor.

Battery light came on then lights went out and van died minivan

your alternator most likely went bad and you were just driving on battery power with out the alternator recharging back the battery when your voltage drops to around 7.5 volts then the van will die please dont try to drive home with out fixing alternator.

Good or bad?

It's a terrible minivan. Read the reviews, they have all been bad. The only thing going for it was it's low price tage. Aside from that every other mini-van was superior in each and every way.
