Question about 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan

1 Answer

I just recently bought a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan and the lowlights on it are not working. The high beam lights work, but the lowlights will not come on. I checked the fuses, as well as the relay, and they do not seem to be the problem. We also did the obvious and replaced the bulb. It still does not work. Does anyone have any other possible reasons as to why the low lights do not work? Could it be a faulty switch on my panel? Please Help!!

Yes the swith is the next solution. If you want to be sure, check all the powers & grounds for continuity.Long process & need a wiring diagram to do it.

2002 Dodge Caravan headlamps: one works on dim the other works on high beam but not together. Also only one daytime running lamp.

Your van has dual diligent headlamp bulbs, that means each headlight has one bulb that serves as high beam and low beam. What has most likely happened is on one side the low beam filament has burnt out, and on the other side the high beam filiment has burnt out. The daytime running lights are just the high beam filament running on reduced power, so if the high beam doesn't work on one side, that same side will have no daytime running light. Replace both headlamp bulbs with matching, good quality bulbs.

disconnect the module that is mounted in front of the fuse box .Then carefully clean the the connectors ,they are usually pretty dirty. After they are clean put it back 2gether.If it doesnt solve the prob then u might have to stick some washers on your bottom screws so that your module is angled in.This will ensure a solid connection.

Cannot start 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan

No preferences as to charger, as long as it has trickle charge option (slower, but better for battery). Would like to see battery load test done by parts store to see battery condition, but a simple charge may be it. Let me know how it goes, hopefully you will have it up and running soon.
