Quick Tip. Take one old spark plug and saw an X across the threads on the bottom with your hacksaw. Clean away the filings. Oil it and thread it into the spark plug hole. This is called re tapping. Then try the new plug again. Has worked many times for me.
Hi, if the thread are stiped you can do nothing about that. Your only solution and less cost for you do not remove cylinderand take it to the engenniring to fit helicoil for you. Ask the engeeniring if they can or have mobil team to come to your placeand fit helecoil for size of your car plugs. You will not going to find other big size plugs for car specification.
1. Make sure its the right plug
2. Make sure the starter thread on the plug is not ruined
3. buy a tap and run a tap through the block, and then stick a magnet down the hole to catch any metal filings. also use a strong shop vac
