I just went out to the car and followed seemingly straight forward instructions and of course it did not work, looks like I will have to pay unreasonably high price to have the dealership do it!!!
According to the dealer's service department, they use their computer to reset the code!

Sounds like the right way. Have you tried it yet?..... Or pay $500 for them to do the exact same thing.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Volvo S60 sensor ?

Sounds like an oxygen sensor (there are two). I had a recent problem where I had a rough idle and my S60 continued to stall out. Turned out to be the rear oxygen sensor. After replacement, car idles nicely and car drives normally.
