Rear shocks are easy. The front struts are best left to a professional. You can remove the units and take them to the shop. As a option you can purchase assembled units but the are more costly. Step by step instructions for free:

Shocks and Struts

Shocks are pretty easy but struts are a different story so just take it into your local mechanic.
Heres what to do with the shocks, jack the van up either on the front or back first and put some axel stands under the axels, then unbolts the shocks and they should slide out from inside the springs and then replace them with your new shocks and then repeat the process on the back shocks and your all done.

Trying to find out what it would cost for shocks and alligment on our 2001 oddysey van

Front struts are about $85 apiece, rear shocks are about $34 apiece plus alignment would be about $60-70. The price for the shocks and struts are from autozone, com My suggestion to you is to buy the parts from a auto parts store and then take them to a reputable shop or mechanic and have them install it and do the alignment, that way you will save money on parts because the shop won't markup the price of the struts and shocks, you will just pay for the labor.

Front shock replacement 1995 Plymouth Voyger

Those are the symptoms of worn shocks and struts. You should have them replaced by a mechanic. From choosing the low end not so high quality shocks/struts as the replacements, to the high quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) shocks/struts it should cost you around $250-$400. Let me please note that some times the shocks do not need replacing but that is at your discretion. Thanks for asking!
And don't forget! It's at your discretion leave a rating!. I always try my best at explaining my answer to your problem.

Everytime I hit a bump the rear end slams into the frame. New shocks and a check of the springs show no problems. GM dealership said no problems,...but the there is a problem...the darn thing is bottoming...

If this vehicle is equipped with rear struts....not shock absorbers...which most vehicles are equipped with today the sound you are speaking of seems to indicate worn strut plates and bushings... most repair facilities over look these items when replacing the strut housings and thus customer gets this noise even louder now that the struts are new and the plates and bushings are old not able to absorb the shock the vehicles suspension incurrs whuile riding over a bumpy terrain.

Does ford e 150 van have struts

E150 have no struts, just shocks. One in each corner and can be replaced with common tools. Auto Zone or Parts Source carry the shocks you need and can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the shocks your self. Good luck

Rear spring shock is broken on my pontiac montana van, year make 2002,is it easy to fix or how much will it cost, thank`s

I usually charge a base price on shocks and struts.to change shocks I charge around 30.00 or 40.00 dollars labor per pair.struts i charge 65.00 per pair.i'm cheeper than most guys because of the rural small town i live in here in alabama.but it may be your leaf spring not real sure by the discription, you could mean the shock,or the strut but it could mean the leaf spring which i think montanas have a shock and leaf spring set up not struts.i can't pull up my picture in my head too clearly,i've seen underneath hundreds of those vans just can't remember.hope i helped you with a price, don't let any body rip you off on the labor cause shocks are fairly easy to change.
